Dmytro is a Ukrainian bassoonist, a laureate of numerous international competitions. He has been a regular participant in Ilya and Emilia Kabakov’s creative project “The Ship of Tolerance”, showcasing his artistry as a soloist and chamber musician at concert venues in Rostock and Chicago.
After the war in Ukraine broke out, he left his home in Dnipro and relocated to New York City, where he joined the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYYS) as second bassoonist for the 2022–2023 season. With the NYYS, he performed three times at Carnegie Hall, a journey that was covered by The New York Times, CNN, NY1, and WPIX-TV.
His exceptional talent was recognized by a nomination for a New York Philharmonic and Interlochen scholarship.
In 2023, he returned to Ukraine and performed with the professional orchestra of the Dnipro Philharmonic and as a soloist with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Zaporizhzhia.
Since 2024, he has been studying at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague under Bram van Sambeek. He regularly performs with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (YsOU) and the Ricciotti Ensemble, sharing music with diverse audiences across Europe.
